Disabling Google Adsense Ads On Your Computer

As a webmaster serving Google Adsense advertising, one of the most important things is taking care not to click your own ads. Doing so is not only unethical (cheating advertisors), it will also get you banned. So how can an honest webmaster prevent accidentally clicking their own ads? It’s happened to the best of us, no matter how hard we try. Short of disabling all javascript (not a good idea, many sites today rely on Java for various functions), there are a few easy ways to selectivly block adsense ads from being served to your browse.

What Is “Web 2.0″

A few years ago, only those with html knowledge of some sort had a website. With the advent of personal weblogs, also known as blogs, it seems like everyones’ got a site. Whether it’s of the freely hosted kind or on its own domain, blogging has become the fad fueling the hype around “Web 2.0″.

Setting Up Wildcard DNS For Subdomains

Recently I setup a free blog host using Wordpress Mu and free forum host using CyberAlien’s Script. Perhaps the most important (for both usability and search engine benefits) features is subdomain support. You don’t want your users to be stuck with a url like www.example.com/forums/?mforum=user do you? In addition to simply being ‘prettier’, there are other reasons as to why you’d want something like user.example.com instead.

Welcome To The New JoeHayes.org
